PMDC Announces MDCAT 2026 Registration Details, Fees, Test Centers, and Exam Pattern

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially released important details for MDCAT 2026, providing clarity for thousands of students planning to apply for MBBS and BDS admissions across Pakistan. The announcement includes information regarding registration, fees, test centers, eligibility requirements, and the examination format.

According to PMDC, aspiring medical and dental students will be able to begin the registration process later this month. Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications within the standard registration period to avoid additional late fees and last-minute issues.

PMDC has maintained separate fee structures for candidates appearing in Pakistan and those taking the exam at international centers. The council has also reminded applicants that registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.

The MDCAT examination will be conducted through designated institutions, including University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar, Sukkur IBA University, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS) Quetta, and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Islamabad.

To facilitate students, test centers will be established in major cities across Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. An overseas test center will also be available in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for eligible candidates.

The examination will assess students through a balanced difficulty structure consisting of 15% easy, 70% moderate, and 15% difficult questions. This approach aims to evaluate both conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities.

PMDC has advised students to review the latest syllabus available on the official portal and begin preparations early. Candidates must carefully select their preferred test center during registration, as changes will not be permitted afterward.
