The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has introduced a series of reforms aimed at making examinations more transparent, efficient, and merit-based. The latest initiatives include an upgraded paper marking system, a one-window complaint resolution facility, and stricter measures to prevent cheating during examinations.
According to BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mahmood, the board is working to transform its examination system through digital governance, automation, and computerization. The goal is to provide students with a fair and reliable examination process while improving the quality of public services.
The chairman said the board has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against examination malpractice. He claimed that organized cheating networks have been effectively dismantled and that strict monitoring has helped ensure a more secure examination environment.
To further improve transparency, BISE Rawalpindi is also upgrading its Command and Control Center. The enhanced system will allow real-time monitoring of examination centres, enabling officials to respond quickly to any irregularities during exams.

Another key initiative is the introduction of a one-window complaint resolution system, allowing students, parents, and educational institutions to resolve board-related issues more efficiently without unnecessary delays.
The board has also focused on improving the paper evaluation process by adopting modern checking methods designed to increase accuracy, consistency, and transparency. Officials believe these improvements will help ensure students receive results based purely on merit.
Dr. Mahmood emphasized that public trust remains the foundation of a credible examination system. He said the board will continue investing in technology, data-driven decision-making, and digital services to enhance overall performance and provide better facilities for students across the Rawalpindi division.
The latest reforms reflect Punjab’s broader efforts to modernize educational boards, improve examination standards, and strengthen confidence in the public examination system through the use of digital technology and transparent governance.
