The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate HEC’s digital degree verification system with PSEB’s upcoming National Digital Workforce Platform. The initiative is expected to improve graduate employability, simplify academic verification, and strengthen links between universities and the technology industry.
The agreement was signed in the presence of HEC Chairman Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and PSEB Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy, along with senior officials from both organizations. The collaboration supports Pakistan’s broader vision of accelerating digital transformation and creating new employment opportunities for skilled graduates.
According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the integrated system will enable secure digital verification of academic degrees, allowing employers to instantly verify the educational credentials of students and professionals. The move is expected to improve transparency, reduce fraudulent claims, and build greater confidence in Pakistan’s higher education qualifications.

Officials said the integration will also support the creation of Pakistan’s first verified digital talent repository. The platform will feature authenticated digital profiles of university graduates, IT professionals, and skilled workers, making it easier for employers to identify qualified candidates for local and international positions.
The initiative is particularly important for Pakistan’s growing IT and software export sector, which continues to expand its demand for certified and skilled professionals. By connecting verified academic records with employment profiles, the platform will simplify recruitment and improve talent matching across multiple industries.
