38 Palestinian students have completed their Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degrees in Pakistan under the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Palestinian Scholarship Program, marking another milestone in the country’s educational support for students affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
A special graduation ceremony was organized to recognize the students’ academic achievement and resilience. The event was attended by Alkhidmat Foundation President Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman, Palestinian Ambassador Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid, University of Lahore officials, faculty members, and other distinguished guests.
Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman praised the graduates for completing their education despite facing war, displacement, and difficult living conditions. He said the students’ success reflects their determination and highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Palestinian youth through quality education.
During the ceremony, 38 BDS graduates received their degrees and professional dental kits. In addition, 13 Palestinian doctors who completed their one-year clinical house jobs in Pakistan were awarded internship certificates, enabling them to continue their medical careers.

According to Alkhidmat Foundation, the scholarship initiative continues to expand, with more than 450 Palestinian students currently studying in Pakistan across different universities. The organization is also supporting 38 additional Palestinian students in Cairo, ensuring they can continue their education despite the ongoing conflict.
The foundation acknowledged the support of the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistani Embassy in Cairo, and partner universities for helping create a safe academic environment for Palestinian students. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing educational assistance until Palestine’s education system recovers.
Palestinian Ambassador Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid thanked Pakistan and Alkhidmat Foundation for their continued support. He said the newly qualified dentists would play an important role in providing much-needed healthcare services to people in Gaza, where medical resources remain under immense pressure.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Ahmed Ataallah Mohammad Jabr described Pakistan as their “second home.” He said the kindness and encouragement they received throughout their studies gave them hope during difficult times and inspired them to return home to serve their communities.
The Alkhidmat Foundation Palestinian Scholarship Program has become one of Pakistan’s leading humanitarian education initiatives, offering deserving Palestinian students the opportunity to complete higher education and prepare for rebuilding their country’s healthcare sector.
